InterVarsity is an inter-denominational campus ministry and student organization at Northern Arizona University. We love NAU and desire to see the entire campus reached with the love of Jesus. We are deeply committed to pursuing the mission of Jesus in a multiethnic, reconciled community.


We have small groups that meet together weekly to study the Bible and experience college life together. Typically they meet in dorms on various weeknights, but we may adapt to meeting outside or virtually to allow for appropriate social distancing. Small groups are open to anyone, and a great way to meet others, explore faith and spirituality together, and make lifelong friends!

We study the Bible inductively, meaning we are constantly looking for what the biblical author was trying to say to the original audience, and how that applies to us today. It is an opportunity for us to learn firsthand about the bible and the impact it can have on us and our community. These Bible studies are open to everyone!

One of the goals we have is to apply the things we learn in a bible study to our lives, in the hopes that we will be better equipped to serve and care for the campus community as well as, the city of Flagstaff. It's our hope and desire to make our bible studies into spaces where students feel they can be their authentic selves with one another and truly become like a family.

We also greatly prioritize having fun here at InterVarsity! Under normal circumstances, we would engage in several activities throughout the year. In a typical year, we have sports/Field days throughout the fall and spring semester where we play sports like volleyball, frisbee, and spike ball. We also love hammocking for those of you who would rather chill out during the day. We would host all kinds of events during the semester including; movie nights, game nights, breakfast and cartoons, lip sync battles, and dance parties.

Because of COVID-19 a lot of what we normally would do is changing. We’re looking for new and creative ways to still connect and fun while still being safe. These values of ours are still very important and we’ll do everything we can to bring community and fellowship to NAU.
