The NAU cheer team participates in events such as cheering at football and basketball games, attending other sporting events, attending school events to promote school spirit and to support other students and athletes. The team gets the opportunity to participate in events like the homecoming parade, the homecoming pep assembly, and other alumni events. NAU cheerleaders are not only are cheerleaders and show spirit for the school, but also get to develop communication skills while interacting with the community, other students and NAU alumni and staff. The team members are all students of NAU and must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0. The team practices three times a week, in addition we lift two times a week. This is a team who values being school ambassadors and sharing the Lumberjack traditions with everyone. The team also gets to represent Northern Arizona University at the UCA College Nationals cheer competition in Orlando, FL.
