NAU Quidditch started in late 2010 as a dream to bring literature to life in a fun, physical, and engaging sport. Since then, NAU has joined hundreds of teams around the world to compete in the International Quidditch Association, and rise in the ranks as one of the most up-and-coming teams this year. With wins over top-ranked teams, the NAU Narwhals have grown as an athletic force on campus and around the USQ Western Region. This past year we worked hard to bring ourselves up to Division 1 in the West, knocking ASU back down to Division 2! The Quidditch team mostly travels to states on the west coast, but travels annually to compete in a national tournament. This last year this tournament was located in West Virginia. As quidditch grows, so do the Narwhals; the roster grows bigger, the players improve their skills, and the prospects become limitless. Nothing but a damn good time, camaraderie, and victory lie on the horizon for the NAU Narwhal Quidditch team. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic we have already begun to plan viable and plausible options for NAU Quidditch to continue as an engaging activity for students on campus, as well as abiding by CDC health and safety recommendations.
