Our department provides parking and shuttle services for all of campus. We also provide services for biking on campus and share resources for alternate transit options around Flagstaff and Arizona when seeking to travel home.
We can help you understand your options for all of your transit needs.
For parking permits, campus is divided into zones based on where a student lives. See our campus map for details. Permits are available to order online beginning August 1st. Students login with their NAU credentials to order their permit. Most permits are virtual. The garage permit has a sticker just to activate the gate. All permits use the License Plate Recogntion system. Your plate is your permit. Therefore all vehicles must park with their plate facing the drive aisle. Supplemental front parking plate is available for a one-time fee. Most importantly, when a student orders a permit they accept the parking regulations which we strongly encourage them to read to have a better parking experience.
Bringing a car is not necessary as campus is a great place to bike, walk or take our campus shuttle.
Campus Shuttle uses GPS tracking available inthe NAUGO app or at www.NAUbus.com. Shuttles run Monday through Thursday, 7 am - 10:30 pm and Friday 7 am - 5:30 pm. Campus Shuttle will be running all buses on the AXElite route.
Biking is the fastest and best way to travel on campus. Free bike registration is encouraged though not mandatory and is available at our office by appointment using the Wait While app. Lockers and enclosure space is available at a fee providing covered bike parking.
