The Nu Alpha Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta strives for academic success and campus involvement at Northern Arizona University. It is the top priority of every brother to live by the values of our fraternity (Friendship, Knowledge, Service, Morality, and Excellence). As FIJI gentleman, we pride ourselves in serving the community and helping those in need.
The fraternity instructs its members to consider the letters sacred and to never display them on an object that can be easily destroyed. Whereas other fraternities often display their letters on clothing or other items, this tradition prevents FIJI's from doing so. In place of the actual Greek letters, "FIJI" , "Phi Gam," or the English spelling "Phi Gamma Delta" is used in their place.
Nu Alpha's history began when a group of freshman from Northern Arizona University's Riley Hall decided to reach out to Phi Gamma Delta Headquarters because they wanted to create an organization that was different from those already pre-existing in the greek community. The outcome was the Nu Alpha Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta.
After chartering in 2016, we have received distinguishing awards and recognitions from the International Headquarters of Phi Gamma Delta, NAU's Interfraternity Council (IFC), and other philanthropic organizations.
